Palette: Rich and layered with notes of dried fruit, caramelised nuts, tropical spice, and dark chocolate, supported by a smooth, warming structure and a long, balanced finish
A spirit shaped by the world itself, Marani Chacha Eqvator Terramare is one of the most unique grape distillates ever produced — a Georgian chacha that has literally travelled across the globe to enhance its flavour.
In a groundbreaking experiment, this chacha was placed aboard a ship and sent on a 9-month journey across oceans and continents, crossing the Equator four times and travelling over 114,000 kilometres.
Exposed to constant motion, shifting temperatures, pressure changes, and maritime humidity, the spirit evolved in a way impossible to replicate in a cellar.
The result is a chacha that carries both the power of Georgian terroir and the influence of the sea — a true fusion of land and ocean.
Blended with traditionally aged chacha and pure spring water upon its return, Terramare delivers a refined, layered, and globally inspired drinking experience.
The Story – A Spirit That Travelled the World
Inspired by ancient maritime ageing techniques, Marani became the first producer to send chacha on a global sea voyage for maturation.
- Departed from Georgia in 2022
- Travelled through ports including Singapore, Australia, South America, and Europe
- Crossed the Equator multiple times
- Aged in barrels on a moving ship
This constant movement and environmental variation accelerates interaction with oak and oxygen, creating deeper complexity and a subtle maritime character.
👉 This isn’t just a spirit — it’s a journey in a bottle
